The Wheelwright Museum of the American Indian focuses on displaying classic and contemporary Native American art and culture in a series of rotating exhibits. These exhibits incorporate items from the museum's permanent collection, which features traditional works of art like Southwestern basket weaving, Cochiti figurines and modern Navajo jewelry. The museum is located on the eastern outskirts of the city on Museum Hill, near the Museum of International Folk Art, the Museum of Spanish Colonial Art and the Museum of Indian Arts & Culture.
