A beautiful Catholic church created in the distinctive Southwestern Pueblo style, Cristo Rey Church was constructed between 1939 and 1940, standing as one of the largest adobe structures currently in existence. It was specifically built to house a set of massive carved and painted stone religious panels created in the mid-1700s for a different church. Situated in the Canyon Road art district, the church is just a few miles southeast of the downtown Santa Fe Plaza.
